Freundschaftswerbung und Anmeldeboni wurden vollständig verboten. Vergleichbare Werbebeschränkungen gelten in anderen Märkten, teils über die Wertpapieraufsicht, teils über Verbraucher- oder Werberecht. Der praktische Effekt für Leser ist zweifach. Erstens ist der Ton der Werbung, die Sie sehen, heute teilweise ein Nebenprodukt der Zulassung und kein Signal über die Plattform: Eine nüchterne Seite kann schlicht bedeuten, dass das Unternehmen innerhalb eines Regimes steht, eine überschwängliche, dass es außerhalb jedes Regimes steht, das es gebremst hätte. Zweitens sind Werberegeln keine Zulassung. Ein Unternehmen kann seine Werbung von jemand anderem freigeben lassen und dennoch keine Lizenz zur Verwahrung Ihrer Vermögenswerte besitzen — eine wichtige Unterscheidung, denn der Freigabevermerk am
