Übliche Gegenmaßnahmen sind, den Preis über Zeit zu mitteln statt eine Momentnotierung zu lesen, mehrere unabhängige Quellen heranzuziehen und nicht zu handeln, wenn Quellen über eine Grenze hinaus auseinanderlaufen; jede erhöht die Kosten des Angriffs, statt ihn auszuschließen.
