เครื่องมือจากภายนอกส่วนใหญ่ต้องการแค่สิทธิ์อ่านและซื้อขาย ดังนั้นคำขอสิทธิ์ถอนควรถูกปฏิเสธทันที ยังมีอีกสองอย่างที่สำคัญหากแพลตฟอร์มรองรับ คือการจำกัดคีย์ให้ใช้ได้เฉพาะหมายเลขไอพีที่ระบุ
