Smart Contract Audit

Wallets & Security

A smart contract audit is a specialist code review that looks for exploitable flaws. It reduces risk for a given code version but guarantees nothing.

Definition

A smart contract audit is a structured review of a protocol's code by security specialists who look for bugs that could let funds be stolen, frozen or miscounted. A typical audit combines manual line-by-line reading with automated analysis and test scenarios, then publishes a report listing findings by severity along with the team's fixes. Because deployed contracts often cannot be changed, catching a flaw before launch matters far more than in ordinary software. An audit is evidence of diligence, not a guarantee: it covers a specific code version at a specific date, cannot foresee every economic attack, and says nothing about the team's intentions. Reading who performed the audit, what was in scope and whether findings were actually fixed is more useful than the badge alone.
